Join #TeamEve as we walk to remember and reflect on the women, and their families, who have been and continue to be affected by gynaecological cancers each year.
Come and explore The Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on this exciting charity challenge trek. Starting in the “Venice of the Cotswolds”, our challenge covers a distance of either 13 or 26 miles (half marathon and marathon routes) and will take us through charming villages and along River Windrush, using footpaths such as the Gloucestershire Way and the Warden Way. The challenge will be tough, but the rewards so worthwhile!
Now in its 4th year, this incredible challenge is not one to be missed. You’ll get to enjoy the stunning scenery of The Cotswolds, whilst also meeting fellow Eve Appeal supporters along the way in this truly incredible and moving challenge on Saturday 9th September.
Those walking 26 miles will meet in the early morning for registration in Bourton-on-the-Water, also known as ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, – a stunning location to start this incredible challenge. The route then heads out to the Oxfordshire Way, through Wyck Rissington and Bledington before joining the Diamond Way. We continue along this route through Daylesford and Adlestrop in which we then head into Lower Oddington, the location of our lunch stop and the start of the 13 mile route. Both 26 mile and 13 mile participants will get to enjoy lunch together.
After lunch, we continue the walk along the Macmillan Way before joining Gloucestershire Way and then Warden Way. The final part of the challenge will join the path along the River Windrush, where we will then all head back to Bourton-on-the-Water for a triumphant finish!
