Jane's Lapland Husky Trail Adventure
Jane recently joined us on our 240km Lapland Husky Trail challenge through the Swedish wilderness. We caught up with her to hear all about her adventure...
Hi Jane, huge congratulations on completing the challenge! It looks like you had an amazing adventure!
So, Jane, why did you choose the Lapland Husky challenge?
Hi, so our friends joined the challenge, and we fancied joining them as we had always wanted to go dog sledding. Actually, we all met on Global Adventure Challenges Kilimanjaro Trek in June 2022 and wanted to do another challenge together.
That is lovely to hear. So who did you travel with on the Husky Sled challenge?
Me and my partner did this challenge together. Stuart and I met doing Kilimanjaro in 2022, he was doing it alongside his friend raising money for in memory of his friend’s daughter. Thanks to Global Adventures Challenge it brought us together and we fell in love on Kilimanjaro.
Wow, that's amazing Jane, congratulations! Well done on conquering Kilimanjaro too. It sounds like you love challenges have you done any others?
We did the Kilimanjaro Trek, and I have also done the Sahara Trek too.
Amazing! You have done 3 amazing challenges, well done! So what would you say was the highlight of this challenge and why?
The highlight of the challenge for me was camping in the middle of nowhere with the northern lights. Also the dogs did their best for us every day and rewarded us with such an amazing adventure. Also spending time with amazing people with no distractions such as phones was great.
That's lovely to hear! So what would you say about this challenge to anyone who is thinking about doing it?
We loved it! We always want to continue doing adventures and this challenge was for us.
