Join us as we explore 25km of the historic Sandstone Trail!
We'll cover a variety of terrain including woodland and hills, walk past Iron Age hill forts, take in panoramic views and enjoy delightful walking through the undulating fields of South Cheshire - once famous for its dairy herds and crumbly Cheshire cheese. There are many highlights on our route from Bickerton to Delamere Forest including Mad Allen’s hole, a touching memorial called Kitty’s Stone, the Shropshire Union canal, Peckforton Hills and Beeston Castle to name but a few. We finish our challenge in the leafy Delamere Forest - all that remains of the once vast medieval hunting forests where deer, wolves and wild boar once roamed. We’ll enjoy a glass of fizz once we cross the finish line and celebrate our achievements. This is without doubt an awesome trekking challenge, all in one day!
